Vision Therapy is a series of eye exercises that treats vision problems that glasses and contacts cannot treat.

Who would benefit from Vision Therapy?

The following are all signs that your vision may be causing problems that could be fixed with vision therapy:

  • You experience blurry vision at times when reading
  • You have tired eyes and/or a headache that worsens or starts by the end of school.
  • You lose your place when reading
  • Poor reading comprehension
  • Doesn’t like reading or avoids reading
  • Difficulty paying attention when reading
  • Slow reader, takes more time than expected on reading/school assignments

What to Expect during your Vision Therapy program?

  • It generally takes about 6 months to complete vision therapy
  • You will come once per week for a 45 minute vision therapy session
  • You will be asked to do home exercises between sessions
  • We use state-of-the-art technology to train your eyes and have fun at the same time
  • It is goal-driven and personalized to meet your specific visual needs
  • It will help improve how your eyes work for reading, sports, balance, and better visual comfort throughout the day.
  • You will work with a highly-trained vision therapist or doctor in a 1-on-1 learning environment

What is the goal of Vision Therapy?

  • Help improve eye movements needed for efficient reading
  • Help reduce eyestrain, headaches, losing your place when reading, and eliminate double vision that is experienced when reading
  • Help patients develop or improve fundamental visual skills and abilities
  • Improve visual comfort, ease, and efficiency
  • Change how a patient processes or interprets visual information
