Meet our Doctors

Dr. Mark Curtis, OD, FCOVD

Dr. Mark Curtis graduated as a Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in May 2015. Prior to optometry school he received his bachelor of science in Biology from Brigham Young University Provo in 2009. He is a board certified Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) which requires 3-4 years of education following optometry school. In addition to treating binocular vision disorders, he also specializes in hard-to-fit contact lenses.

 

He and his wife, Amy, are the proud parents of five energetic children.

Dr. Jeremy Gardner, OD, FAAO

Dr. Jeremy Gardner was raised in Gilbert, Arizona. He attended Brigham Young University Provo, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. While attending school at BYU, Dr. Gardner met and married his wife, Janette. They have been happily married for 6+ years and have two beautiful daughters: Parley and Lucy, and are expecting twin boys soon.

 

He graduated from the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University in 2020. His clinical rotations provided a strong background in Pediatrics, Vision therapy, Ocular Disease, and Specialty Contact Lenses. Dr. Gardner was awarded the Good-Lite Pediatrics Award upon Graduation from Optometry School for his passion and dedication to children’s vision development and pediatric eye care.

 

Upon graduation from Optometry School, Dr. Gardner then went on to do a residency in Pediatric Optometry, Vision Therapy and Brain Injury Vision Rehabilitation from the same clinic where Dr. Price received his specialty training in children’s vision and vision therapy in Wichita, KS. During his residency training, Dr. Gardner received special training on Myopia Management (how to slow down the progression of nearsightedness in children). He loves spending time with patients of all ages, and he takes the time to ensure that each patient and their family understand their options for improving their vision for a brighter and better future. His enthusiasm for children’s vision, vision therapy, and myopia management are contagious, and you are sure to leave with a smile.

 

Dr. Gardner is fluent in Spanish, having served a mission in Uruguay for 2 years. He is eager to provide quality eye care in both Spanish and English. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, reading, playing the piano, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Christopher A. Pope, OD

Dr. Christopher Pope joined the practice in May 2022 after graduating as a Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Prior to optometry school he attended Utah Valley University and received a bachelor’s degree in biology. He is a Utah native and is excited to be close to family once again.

 

Dr. Pope seeks to provide exceptional eye/vision care as he enjoys building connections and educating patients on their individual needs. Before joining the practice, he rotated through the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center and Moran Eye Center where he treated and management various ocular diseases. His final clinical rotation was at Child & Family EyeCare Center. His interest in vision therapy continued to soar as he learned more of the importance of a well-functioning visual system. During this last semester rotation, he was offered to join the Child & Family EyeCare Center team. He, of course, accepted. Being a part of this amazing group is a dream come true.

 

Dr. Pope and his wife enjoy spending time with family, going on long walks, and motorcycle rides.
