At Child & Family EyeCare Center, we test for more than “20/20” — we look at all the visual skills needed for reading. And if there’s a problem, we provide vision therapy to help fix those problems.
We believe every child has potential, and if there’s a vision problem holding them back, our team and Doctors are here to help!
Laura
Laura has been with Child & Family EyeCare Center since 2015. She’s originally from the Pacific Northwest, and has been working remotely from Florida for the last four years. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves the beach, which is perhaps why she is drawn to either side of the country instead of joining everyone else in Utah.
When she joined the team she was instantly impressed by the passion the doctors had in changing people’s lives and was excited to see and be part of that change. We truly love what we do!
Laura is always on top of everything, from being first to answer the phones, smoothing out billing and scheduling questions to assisting in the bridge between exams and vision therapy. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have such a positive, put together friend here at Child & Family Eye Care Center.
LeNan
If this were the Olympics, LeNan would be known as the All-Around Champion. She’s our accounts receivable, billing specialist, front desk and answer any question guru. She always has a smile on her face and a witty and kind answer to give. She cares about patient satisfaction and is driven to help ensure a positive experience while you are here at the office.
Here’s a little glimpse into her life:
“I love being a wife, mother of 6, grandmother of 11 and great grandmother to 1! My most favorite times are those spent with my family.
I really enjoy traveling, gardening, and cooking. I am famous for trying new recipes on unsuspecting guests!
I am a huge San Diego Padres fan and enjoy going to California a couple of times a year with my husband to watch them play.
I am very blessed to have worked here for 14 years. I actually love coming to work everyday! We have competent, educated, experienced Doctors and staff that genuinely care about each other and our patients. We change lives everyday, it is a pleasure to be part of that.”
Michelle, COVT
Michelle has been working alongside Dr. Price for 14+ years and is our Vision Therapy Director at Achieve Vision Therapy. Michelle was the 1st COVT certified vision therapy in the state of Utah, and has been changing lives of each of her patients. She is a delight to work with and is the heart and soul of our vision therapy team!
Shanda
When you walk through the doors, this will be the smile that will greet you warmly. Shanda is an incredible asset to this office. She is always friendly and willing to help you figure out scheduling, glasses, and insurance info. She is full of laughter and kindness. We are so grateful to have her as part of the team!
Here’s a little more about Shanda:
My most favorite times are those spent with my husband going camping, fishing, or pretty much anything outdoors. I am a huge Utah Utes fan and enjoy going to sporting events and traveling to watch them play.
I have worked here for 4 years, and love coming to work everyday! I enjoy seeing lives change from our youngest patients to our oldest patients. I love being an optician! It is fun to help people pick out a pair of glasses that make them look and feel their best.
Kiana
Kiana is one of the smiling faces that may greet you as you enter our office. She handles all things contact lenses, cuts lenses to fit your glasses, and helps in any other way she can! She’s always so helpful, and tries to do all she can to help patients have a good experience. Here’s a bit more about Kiana:
I grew up in Upstate New York in a town where there are more cows than people. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University – Idaho just last year and have been working at Child & Family EyeCare Center for 2 years now. I recieved my first pair of glasses in Third grade. I have been to various optometry offices and met so many different eye doctors. This office is by far the most thorough, caring and informative of all the offices I’ve been to. Our staff and doctors love to help people, and we truly care about bettering our patients’ lives through their vision; whether it be training kids how to wear/handle contacts, helping someone find just the right pair of new frames for school, or watching as a patient develops new skills in Vision Therapy so reading isn’t chore anymore but rather something to be enjoyed. Reading should always be fun!

Tahnee
Tahnee has been with Child & Family EyeCare Center for about 4.5 years. With a background in customer service, she looked for new ways to help others and found this opportunity to to serve as an Optometric Technician. As soon as she was introduced to Vision Therapy, she knew she had found a truly special way to change the lives of others more meaningfully.
Having always had a passion for learning and for teaching children, this became the perfect opportunity to learn new things about vision development every day, while also making patients feel comfortable during their visits. She fell in love with seeing patients achieve their goals and overcome fears or jump visual hurdles with each successive follow-up.
Tahnee has loved reading from a young age and enjoys trading recommendations for good books with other readers, as her teachers once did for her. In her free time she enjoys music, writing letters, and playing the Game of Things with family or friends.
Tahnee is great at putting our patients at ease with her easy conversation and calming demeanor while getting their exams started. She’s yet another amazing addition to our team!
